Galaxy 3D Space Tour 1.1

The first thing you need to know about this FP Software Lab-developed application is what it is and what it can do for you. I’ll try to provide a simple and to the point explanation. So here goes: Galaxy 3D Space Tour is a screensaver for Windows; when your computer goes idle, the screensaver kicks in and basically takes you on a virtual tour of the galaxy.

The screensaver starts by displaying the emptiness of space – actually it’s not empty because you see stars in the distance. The images moves in towards the galaxy, zooming in closer and closer. Before you know it you are seeing stars all around you.

If you would like to put Galaxy 3D Space Tour, to the test, getting the application off the web and onto your computer will only take a moment. The download weighs in at 1.0MB, which is quite lightweight. At such a lightweight download size, the download will complete in a blink (even on a less than spectacular internet connection).

After the download completes, you will have to install the application on your Windows-powered PC. Galaxy 3D Space Tour should work just fine with any Windows version. I tested it out on Windows XP and Windows 7 and it worked fine.

To truly enjoy this screensaver, you will have to register it, otherwise you will have to live with a truly annoying registration reminder that takes the form of a floating window that basically ruins your virtual tour of the galaxy. Registering the application will set you back about $18, so I guess it’s up to you if you want to part with the money or not.
